MEMORIAL OF THE 500 YEARS OF DISCOVERY

Oscar Niemeyer also left its mark in St. Vincent with the construction of the Memorial of the 500 Years of Discovery (Alameda Paulo Gonçalves, s / n), in 2002, on top of Porchat Island, the one designed by him around the coast. The platform has a bold design with bold curves and lines in concrete, since it was the first to explore methods of applying the material.
The monument is 76 m above the sea level and has capacity for 250 people. To enjoy the beautiful view of the shores of St. Vincent and the Saints, the monument's observation deck protrudes 17 meters from the slope of the island. The cover, wing-shaped concave, has a ceiling panel of photos and pictures telling the story of the country Its apex is pointed to Brasilia. GREEN ROOF

In March 2011 I took this picture in Brooklin in Sao Paulo, where we see a building with green roof across the front of the building.

"Compared with the white cover on the green roof modules is a relatively new system in Brazil. The pioneering examples from the U.S.. In Millennium Park in Chicago, one of the world's largest roofing system that houses a shopping mall. And the Ford truck plant in Michigan, considered by some years the largest green roof in the world, with 4.2 hectares, had a savings of 7% in all energy expenses. Despite recent technology green roof represents a considerable advance on its efficiency much higher than that of white caps. "

TOWER OF BABEL

Humanity has a great inclination to build architectural masterpieces which we call the "pharaonic" as a reference to gradiose pyramids. The first major piece of civil engineering and architectural built that humanity was the TOWER OF BABEL. God from the beginning that the men planned to occupy the planet in an orderly manner without major cities without major interventions in the crust.

The law of Moses had orders not to make a house wall with the wall, but in vain ... The men will follow by building great temples, great palaces, great cities, large towers and now build great architectural works of infrastructure such as airports, railways, dams, mega buildings ...

Jesus and the apostles never worked in the construction of a temple, but centuries of Christianity made the vanity exchange the worship in humble homes in sumptuous palaces. It is easier to find God in a Garden of worship and family reunion than a vanity call these palaces TEMPLES. Hagia Sophia, the Vatican and other world headquarters of thousands of Christian churches are works to fill the eyes of men and not God. (By Historian Valdemir Mota de Menezes)
